After finishing the prologue, I felt incredibly tired, and so, I'm taking a short 2 week break from drawing, hope you understand!

I'm finally about 1-2 pages away from finishing the prologue! So I'll give in some insight of my experience with it thus far:

It's been wild, from inconsistent panels, script grammar checks and general procrastination, the comic sure has been quite the exercise from me, with illustration starting on November of last year and still unfinished to this day, I've learned that I really should develop some time management skills, doesn't help that i keep thinking of characters that would show up at a later point in the story instead of just putting focus in the moment.

Anyway, here's a sneak peek of one of my favorite panels thus far:

I really hope to finish this soon and quite frankly, i feel horrible for ghosting all of you on NG regarding the development.

First of all, the comic's name will be "The World's Petals" (it wont have anything to do with petals other than all the characters being named after flowers or something related lol), and second, yea, it will be featuring Tulip and co.

i just finished writing the prologue and may god rest my soul once i start drawing the panels.

what i'm saying is, expect a prologue to be out soon™️, just don't hold your breath or you may end up fainting.

Got a new phone and I'm not grounded anymore, so I shall continue posting more stuff.

Also, during this time, one of my 2 cats died of old age, my sister moved away and I got into books.

i swear to god i can't have shit

so my phone died and since i can't use my laptop don't hold your breath for anything coming from me, ok? stay safe

yeah so i got myself into some hot water and got my laptop taken away, i hope that i wont be grounded for long since i got stuff to do, so don't expect me to be posting much.

so it's been more than a year ever since i first drew Tulip and i felt like dumping my experiences drawing her.

on the 24th of July of last year i felt like drawing something a little different from my usual fanart so i drew a little spider, not even a name to go along with it. yeah, this iteration was supposed to be a whole lot mysterious and stuff, i actually stuck with this design for a good while, occasionally doodling her in class but it was only a matter of time before a redesign.

on the 26th of october of the same year i ended up doing something a little different, removed the mask, made her look a lot more like webber and just made her use a little tunic, i originally had the name of "Spidrina" as shown in here but thankfully i just changed it to "Spidra" not long after. sidenote: i also came up with Peony not too long after, originally known as "Vrachnid", but that sounded stupid.

the idea was for her to be some sort of thief that'd strike at night idk.

and then THE MOMENT THAT HIGHSCHOOL STARTED in february i ended up doodling yet another design. still named as Spidra at the time but that would be quickly be changed as seen in the following ref sheet

you can tell i was a lot more patient in order to make ref sheets at the time, i later ended up dropping the "Blecky Rock" name to just stick with Tulip as we know it today.

some time after, following some art classes about color theory and stuff i made this, honestly ashamed of it but what would be history without its embarrassing moments?

and then on the 29th of march i came up with that would pretty much be the design of today, shirt and all.

and then bada-bing and bada-bah, we've reached the point where we are today! i'm honestly very thankful for all of those on discord, deviantart (at least when i still used it) and here on ng who closely followed this little cretin's journey over time! see you in the next one!
